coreCORE®/Structural Integration: This technique is a deep tissue therapy based on the work of Ida P Rolf, PhD and modified by Noah Karrasch, LMT. CORE® realeases deep holding patterns and trauma in the body's connective tissue network, or fascia. Benefits include greater breath capacity, increased range of motion, increased energy, and relief of pain. Posture improves because restrictions are dissolved and the body is aligned with gravity. "When gravity gets flowing appropriately through the body, then spontaneously the body heals itself." -Ida P Rolf, PhD, creator of Structural Integration (Rolfing). Craniosacral Therapy or CST®: CST is a form of alternative therapy used to assess and enhance the functions of the craniosacral system, which is the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid of the central nervous system. Practitioners manipulate the bones from the skull to the sacrum to remove restrictions in the flow of cerebrospinal fluid. This helps to relieve stress, migraines, TMJ syndrome, chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia, neck and back pain, and enhance the body's overall health. Manual Lymph Drainage or MLD: Calming therapy with a wide range of benefits including relief from swelling, shorter recovery time after trauma and surgery, and healthier skin. Lymphatic vessels in the body collect excess fluid from the surrounding tissues, clean the fluid through a series of lymph nodes, and return the fluid to the blood circulatory system. Gentle pumping techniques speed lymph circulation by stimulating the absorption of fluid into the lymph vessels and aiding the movement of lymphatic fluid through the body. This treatment is great alone, or very beneficial in combination with a massage or facial. Click here to learn more about the Dr. Vodder Method of Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
